Under Labour leadership, Redbridge Council has continued to deliver strong services and responsible financial management during an exceptionally challenging period for local government across the country.

In 2024, independent consultancy IMPOWER ranked Redbridge:

• 1st in London 
• 2nd in England 

for delivering value for money and productivity for residents. 

The rankings recognised Redbridge’s strong performance across a wide range of services, including children’s services, adult social care, housing, waste collection, libraries, leisure and community support - despite Redbridge receiving some of the lowest levels of government funding per head in London. 

Redbridge Labour believes good local government is about more than politics. It is about delivering real outcomes for local people:

• protecting frontline services, 
• investing in communities, 
• supporting vulnerable residents, 
• improving parks and public spaces, 
• delivering new homes, 
• and ensuring value for every pound spent on behalf of residents. 

Today, Redbridge continues to be recognised nationally for strong service delivery, financial responsibility and community leadership. In 2026, Redbridge was once again ranked amongst the most productive councils in England by the IMPOWER Index.
